BREATH - ARTWORK

Wymering Manor House's inner rooms are filled with mystery and nostalgia. I walk through its hallways and rooms, each having a unique tale to tell, and it whispers the secrets of generations before. I can practically hear the echoes of individuals who formerly called this place home as I walk through it because the air is heavy with the weight of history. The furnishings and decor offer a physical link to the past, while the blend of architectural styles and materials produces a distinctive blending of the old and the present. I can sense time passing in this room; it's as though the walls themselves are breathing forth the memories of past generations. Ever notice how your breath does a subtle dance?  The way it varies in distinct areas or throughout the day? Despite the general belief that breathing is a routine process, I investigated the mesmerizing beauty of our breath rhythms, recording the complex patterns of breath and producing a visual composition that resembles a t...
